When I got the tires, they were not what was pictured on the Simpletire website. I checked with Dunlop, and they confirmed they only made tires called SP600 that were as in the picture at Simpletire; in other words, the dealer who supplied these tires to Simpletire gave them/me knockoffs! Who would've thought, and Dunlop is very, very mad! Checking on the Dunlop website, Dunlop asks $260/tire, while the Simpletire price was $58; I thought this was a case of a great price on a tire being discontinued, but, alas, it was in fact a case of "If the deal seems too good, it's probably not a deal." The only good point was Simpletire sending out return shipping labels immediately to FedEx , the tires being picked up by FedEx the next morning, and my purchase price being refunded in full once Simpletire got these fakes back. Could it be they've had this problem before with this supplier? I've never before ever had a negative experience with Simpletire, so I was quiet surprised to have experienced this at all. With knock-offs, you can't trust anything about such a tire (construction, speed rating, size), but these tires looked authentic and probably would've fooled other people. Again, Dunlop checked all their worldwide manufacturing and the tire as pictured was they only one manufactured by Dunlop with the SP600 designation. I got something that looked and said Dunlop (SP600), stamped made in South Africa, but had a completely different tread pattern (which looked identical to a different Dunlop tire from the Dunlop website), SO EVERYONE, including SimpleTire, BE WARY OF KNOCK-OFFS; WE MUST NOW GO TO MANUFACTURERS WEBSITES TO ENSURE WHAT IS BEING OFFERED IS ACTUALLY A PRODUCT OF THAT BRAND! Again, SimpleTire responded quickly, but no one needs this crap.
I've already put a 1000K miles on my Honda and they've been holding up pretty well. I feel the tread life will definitely last me a long time as they still look brand new. They work very well in dry and wet conditions, even in terrible rain storms.
